Pretty much like a drama, Millennium Actress is such a splendid awarded anime movie that even Waltz Disney could not just hold their hands off. This anime unfolds an interesting life story of Chiyoko, who used to be a famous idol. Seemingly boring and unattractive when only its name is considered, it is surprisingly amazing.
      Well connected and smoothly run even if it contains both past and present of Chiyoko's life, the "Millennium Actress" is very classic. The theme as well as details of this movie are excellently plotted and communicated to audiences in quite a unique style that uses two persons, an interviewer and a camera man, to play back into Chiyoko's past. Her past is shown like a live event where, in some scenes, those two people even walk around and interact with teenage Chiyoko or surrounding people. This is great in the point that this style is creating some fun in watching a life story.
      In Millennium Actress, excellent graphics with integrity of details as well as nice soundtracks could certainly be expected from this anime. In fact, everything is very well detailed. Even the characters are designed close to real people more than most anime characters. It is worth observing that Chiyoko has a look similar to the main character of the "Perfect Blue", which is another work released a few years ago by the same director.
      One noticeable remark is that Millennium Actress might be hard to understand for young people. It needs some maturity and artistic insight to catch all deep beautiful impressions of this anime. This movie seems to be the most suitable for people above 15 years old. However, people of all age and genders are strongly suggested to give it a taste…Millennium Actress has everything an anime needs to become your favorite!
