For the "Fruits basket", from the first time that I read the comics, I have learned various new aspects that I have not seen for quite a while. The characteristics of Toru (the leading character), her friends as well as the story plot are integrated into this colorful magnificent story.
      To say it plainly, this is a story with its continuous theme, showing various angles of each character and how love and warmth of heart as well as understanding have solved all these. In fact, the concept of this story is based on one perspective, i.e. "If, you feel, you are different from others, would people really feel disgusted with you?" This question is hidden in the feelings of all main characters including even Toru. Let's mention about the movie, X-Men, a bit. A great question that has been overlooked by many people is "How would an 'extraordinary' person feel while staying among ordinary people? Is it fear? Confusion? Rage? Pretension?" Various characters in this story, Fruits Basket, also live their lives with a lot of concern on how they should establish themselves and their own feelings.
      Problems in normal societies have been reflected to audiences in a very gentle, complicated and interesting manner. Whoever feels depressed may even be relieved by this story and it is even an anime that could destroy the great barrier that prevents many guys from enjoying the female anime.
      In terms of the anime version of the Fruits Basket, it is very well done for both soundtracks and graphics. For those people who already read the comics version of the Fruits Basket, the re-arrangement of the story in the anime version still impress them. Not only they would not be bored, but they would also get different kinds of emotions along with integrity of the anime version.
      Licensed VCDs and DVDs of the Fruits Basket have already been released and they are all worth collecting. This is a recommended anime for everyone, even small children, since there is rarely violence. As well, it reflects real-life society in a unique, gentle style, containing both comedies and seriousness in life.
      Just close your eyes slowly, thinking about all goodness, and gradually lie down… May you be blessed with a beautiful dream…
